MAIN BODY
Shehbaz Sharif said that both countries should focus on peace, development, and solving common problems like poverty and climate change. He said Pakistan is ready to talk and wants a peaceful future, but India must also show seriousness by addressing the Kashmir problem.
He criticised India’s 2019 decision to remove Jammu and Kashmir’s special status under Article 370, saying it worsened the situation and made Kashmiris feel more ignored. He stressed that any progress in relations must include a fair solution for Kashmir.
Sharif also said that the people of both countries are tired of conflict. They want jobs, education, and stability. He added that if India and Pakistan can talk honestly and respectfully, the future can be brighter.
So far, there has been no strong response from India, but international observers are watching closely to see if this could be a chance for fresh dialogue.
CONCLUSION
Shehbaz Sharif’s speech showed both hope and concern. He wants peace and better relations, but not at the cost of ignoring Kashmir. For peace to truly happen, both countries need to talk, listen, and act fairly. His message is simple: progress is good, but only with justice and respect for all.
